He wasn't perfect - he had a rough spot about 2 minutes in that you probably noticed. He admitted later that he was very nervous and his hands were shaking!
That's not typical, but I do remember his FIRST recital, when he was barely 8 and still had to work the bugs out of a long Clementi piece the night before he was to play it. He got very upset (but still did a great job.)
His OLD elementary school (3rd through 5th grades) called yesterday and invited him to the school's talent show tonight. No - they didn't ask him to perform. That wouldn't be appropriate - it is THEIR talent show. But I think it will be fun after the show, with his old friends still around and him not being shy about capitalizing on an available piano. He can play for 45 minutes or so, just from memory.
