The bondholders who invested in the Continental certainly didn't get repaid in full an on time! Have you ever heard of the Cherokee or any other indian people and their experience with the "word" of the US government? Did you ever hear about the civil war? About the Bill of Rights? Did you hear, Timmy, about the Coinage Act of 1792? How about FDR? Did you ever hear about Bretton Woods and the solemn PROMISE of the US government that it would not counterfeit the US dollar and, therefore, that other nations could trust it with their gold? Did you ever heard, Timmy, about the PROMISES the US military made to its enlisted men, its own soldiers, regarding medical care and other benefits they would receive in retirement? And how about that 99% loss of value in the US dollar in less than 100 years? And, closer to home, did you hear the PROMISES Obama made when he ran for office, Timmy? And you, Timmy, didn't you make some promises yourself when you took your oath of office and signed that tax return?

Turbo Timmy the Felon with Connections just admitted that there IS plenty of money to pay the interest on contracted debt, that default is NOT necessary, that he publicly lied, that no new debt means only that only OTHER things will go unpaid -- things which are optional and absolutely don't mean default but only prioritization and cutbacks. Cutbacks to what? Why cutbacks to the budget at the time when Obama first walked into office and began to borrow and spend like a drunken sailor. Anyone think the US government cutting back its spending to 2007 levels would be that bad? For myself, I would consider it a relief -- provided the cuts began with the massive amounts of "giveaways" of what we haven't got, jackboots for the surveillance state and the military-industrial complex, and the endless pork, pork, pork, pork, pork! Wake up, Amerika, the borrow-and-spend "cocaine party has to end some day and the sooner the better if we want our children to have a future and you want any internal organs left.
