re: "Did you vote for George W. Bush?"

Nope.

re: "anyone how votes based on a single issue is both stupid and naive.

Hey, take it up at church. Have you ever asked *your* priests how they feel about your votes? It doesn't sound to me as if you much care what they think. However, it's pretty clear how the Catholic priest who responded to my question feels about fellow Catholics who are supportive of pro-abortion candidates. And, by the way, you should see all the OTHER responses I got - the ones from Catholics who AREN'T clergy. *grin*

Good luck to you. If the Roman Catholic mass is truly God's mass, and if the Vatican is infallible, then I think you will be receiving a harsh judgement from your maker one day.

“I cannot imagine how any Catholic could justify voting for anyone who would support such evil. God Bless!”

Yes, I abhor abortion but it is legal. I also abhor smoking in public and capital punishment, but they're also legal.

And exactly what 'action' is it that you think I've taken which you feel the church would be upset with?

I mean I've never had an abortion (obviously). I've never performed an abortion. I've never paid for someone else to have one. I've never advised anyone to have an abortion.

Did you vote for George W. Bush? He supported the death penalty with what some have described as a zeal for it even relishing the idea of denying a reprieve.

The church says that capital punishment is a mortal sin so if I vote for someone who is pro-death penalty, have I sinned in eyes of the church?

Sorry, but we live in a complex world and anyone how votes based on a single issue is both stupid and naive.
