fizzy, that's possible. My thought was with globalization out, it's every man for homself locking in resources. No more fungibility concept. Then we might approach resource wars. But I doubt globalization and markets will die and now, China needs us as a market for their goods. They need Europe, as well. They can't stand alone yet.

Not necessarily. We didn't end up at war with Great Britain when we toppled her dominance 100 years ago. And Mutually Assured Destruction has kept India and Pakistan, and China and the USSR, from ever really getting into it.

My guess is that China will continue poking at us to test its limits and gradually expand its influence. I don't think it would intentionally start a full war, though. Already, neither side could hope to win.
