Chief Judge Belvin Perry said this afternoon he has had enough.

Closing arguments were put to an immediate halt for a sidebar shortly after defense attorney Jose Baez called Assistant State Attorney Jeff Ashton a "laughing man."

After reviewing a video clip of the incident, Ashton and Baez separately apologized to the court.

Perry accepted the apologies but warned that if his orders are violated again, the violating lawyer will be thrown out of court and prevented from further participation in the trial.
