31 American Troops Killed In NATO Helicopter Crash In Afghanistan
I just honestly don't see what's worth it. We have such massive debt problems that our credit rating has been downgraded. Osama Bin Laden is dead. Yet we continue to p!ss dollars into the sands of the middle east and more Americans are dying.
What are we getting for this ? Does anyone actually think we're safer by bankrupting our own country and making the Arab world hate us?
Obama could change this situation unilaterally. Sure the Republicans would wail and call him the anti-Christ, but they are doing that anyway.
It is believed that Saturday's helicopter crash in eastern Afghanistan that killed 31 Americans was downed by insurgents, a U.S. military official told CNN.
Of those killed, 22 were Navy SEALs, he said.
The SEALs belonged to the same unit that conducted a raid in May that killed Osama bin Laden, but they were not part of that operation, the official said.
Special forces have been conducting almost daily nighttime raids against insurgent targets throughout Afghanistan. Saturday's crash took place in the eastern province of Wardak, an area rife with insurgent activity.
