Sun is out big puffy clouds too. Full moon coming which will make the tides worse.
The trees & poles with cable, telephone & electric are concerns.
I'm on a hill, most of the water should run away from the house.
The ground has already absorbed 7+ inches of rain this month, so its soft & won't absorb much more.

Hopefully you are up and away from this beast, friends in NC are prepared, watching.. Same in VA, W VA, all are going to take some hits...
Its all pretty foreign to us out here, altho we have seen twisters, lose a tree or two, explode a barn, but these beasts are pretty awesome.. We're sill basking in 80-50 weather, foggy mornings, etc... But we did send the little shaker back there... At least there is time for a warning with the beasts like Irene...
