You might have noticed we added a "page view counter" to each post. I figure if someone slips up and posts something in conflict with copyright laws, and someone comes to sue to recover the "damages", at least we'll have a record of just how many oages views they were robbed of. Instead of what i see being the common theme of , you have x thousand members, you owe us x thousand page views of lost ad revenue.
Please.....and I KNOW, it's hard to resist, PLEASE resist the urge to click on your own post over and over and over just to make it look like hundreds of people are hanging on your every word.
Just ignore that little counter like it wasn't there.
I plan on adding a featured button to show the poster names that have viewed the post, when you click on the counter. And if I see someone abusing the counter button, for said reasons above....you will be scorned and reviled and exposed as a phony baloney.
Bad design, Bob. If you want evidentiary data make it a private database (your eyes only) with the username, IP and time/date. If you're gonna show the posters who view the post, you might as well simply not increment the counter for repeat visits.
If you do that, you don't have to code a listing of a post's viewers as that information is not really useful.
Better to spend your time and development money on more useful features.
