You're naive if you think that corporations don't find a way to write that off of their corporate taxes as well as structure the severance package so that the ex-CEO manages to avoid paying his fair share on his part as well. And besides, the first 26 weeks of unemployment payments are paid from an insurance fund paid into by the corporations so technically he's not getting "tax payer funds" for at least the first 6 months.

If the CEO fails, he's given a $30 million severance package and told to go away. If the janitor loses his job, the Republicans want him to piss in a cup before he can collect unemployment

...the ceo isn't being paid out of tax payer funds!
