re: "Is that a prediction or something that you're hoping for?"
Both. I'd hope for it since I don't believe the current numbers are legitimate. Every bit of good news over the last few years has been the result of someone shuffling numbers around OR actually pushing problems down the road by a few months. I don't want high unemployment, but I DO want honest reporting of the problems.
Now, that said, I noticed a few minutes ago that the numbers announced were for the previous WEEK, not the previous MONTH. So the next report will presumably be only a week away, not a month away.
I'm still betting a nickel I'm right about it, though. It'll be 8,000 or more WORSE than expected (totally offsetting and bouncing toward the other extreme the underreported 4,000 figure we're seeing today.)
Someone must be trying to make folks feel good about things for Christmas. (It's okay with you if I call it Christmas, isn't it? I'd hate to offend...)

Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
