Perhaps you missed the fact that the actual law which was passed included relief for small businesses so that they are not confronted with “substantial problems, confusion and costs" due to the short-term nature of this law. Besides, you don't honestly think that in 2 months that this will NOT be extended at least through the end of the year (remember, 2012 is an ELECTION YEAR and therefore this will not be allowed to expire as is)?

As for Krauthammer's comments about "rationality" and the 'quality' of the legislation, those were all excuses to cover his real disgust with the situation. If you have been listening to his views of Obama for the last 3 years you can't help but discern what his real issues were with this situation. He's questioned Obama's legitimacy both in terms of his election and his qualifications to have even run for president. The events of this past few weeks has got to be sticking in his craw and now as we are starting to get more and more positive signs that the economy is starting to turn around, his level of desperation is becoming much more evident.

re: "That deserved 10 stars, I can only give you 1."

Yes - I'd like to give OCU a star for his post as well. It is one of the best fabrications he's written in some time.

OCU claims that the "ONLY 'problem'" which Krauthammer has is "that the House GOP's behavior has caused" is "that it made Obama and the Democrats look better."

That's patently untrue. Krauthammer makes the point early in the article that is "one of the worst pieces of legislation in years"... that:

o No minimally rational government enacts payroll tax relief for just two months
o It likely cannot be enacted in just two months
o It creates “substantial problems, confusion and costs. "U.S. businesses would have to budget for two-thirds of a one-quarter tax-holiday extension."

Hey, I'm not making this stuff up. I'm quoting from the article.

You know, OCU, the word "only" isn't even present in that article. Quite apart from the fact that Krauthammer voiced several problems with the bill, there is NO indication that those were his ONLY problems or concerns with it. When you wrote "according to Krauthammer the ONLY 'problem' which he seems to think that the House GOP's behavior has caused was that it made Obama and the Democrats look better" and "his ONLY concern was that this will be seen by the average voter as a positive for Obama and the Dems" you were making that up.

I don't see how you, or the clowns who starred your post, could have even read the article! Did you find someone else's summary of it and write your post based on that, OCU??

I have to say, the critical thinking abilities by the liberals on this forum are practically nonexistent. Or maybe it's a problem with liberals in general. It's truly a wonder you can get yourselves to work each day.

Except for zz$#!+, I mean - since there's no way he has a job.
