It's all part of turning the defensive team into an offensive team. Better to do it now while the media is still focused on the GOP wannabes and the circus act that that process has devolved into.

Say

William M. Daley, President Obama’s chief of staff, is stepping down, White
House officials confirmed Monday. The news was first reported by The Los Angeles
Times. Mr. Daley, a former commerce secretary and the son and brother of Chicago
mayors, was named to the post by Mr. Obama on Jan. 6, 2011.

Jacob J. “Jack” Lew, director of the Office of Management and Budget, will take
over Mr. Daley’s duties, officials say.
