Do you remember when GWB was asked if there was anything he regretted?
Nothing came to (his) mind...

While I don't recall this specifically, it doesn't surprise me in the least. GWB isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer.

As far as the articles you quoted, I never claimed that Obama did not respect or admire past Presidents. You had stated

The current leadership gets the blame & the glory, for 'current events'.

Having not seen evidence of that, I asked for examples. And I'm not bashing on Obama here - I've never seen ANY President say "Because of choices my predecessor made, things are wonderful." Have you? How about "My predecessor left things in great shape, and I've screwed it up."? Haven't heard that either. Ever. Not saying it's never happened - just saying I've never heard about it.

Riana,

Show me where the current leadership has PUBLICLY taken the blame, or granted the glory to a previous leader.

In an article published in USA Today, President Obama praises President Ronald Reagan as a man with a "unique ability to inspire others to greatness." Obama also says of Reagan that "there is no denying his leadership in the world, or his gift for communicating his vision for America." The late president, Obama continues, "understood that it is always 'Morning in America.' That was his gift, and we remain forever grateful."

President Obama says he will need more than one term to revive an economy that began developing problems years ago.

"Reversing structural problems in our economy that have been building up for two decades, that was going to take time," Obama says in a 60 Minutes interview to air Sunday night.

"It was going to take more than a year," Obama says, according to excerpts released by CBS News. "It was going to take more than two years. It was going to take more than one term. Probably takes more than one president."
