Weco:

Teaching kids responsiblity, how to work a little bit (during school hours), and hopefully take some pride and ownership of their school is too complicated.

You wouldn't do well at our co-op schools where both the kids and their parents are required to pitch in. Of course, we don't don't have oodles of money to waste on our schools.

And then there is such a thing as liability... Are you willing to add to the insurance coverages for putting kids in harms way? We already put a lot of trust into our admin, teachers to maintain a safe environment for education, so now he would extend that time into the late evening, night shifts? Who is doing the transportation after hours? And if the kids mess up, who pays... the whole idea is a loser, just like Newt and his cronies..

No way I want my grandkids to waste their time, they already are busy with hours of homework, band or drama practice, other non school events, sports, Mom/dad are on the road hours every day shuttling them from one to another aided by grandparents, or even Dad taking time away from his job when Mom has engagements of of town...

Newt and really all the RePugs are so out of touch it's a sick joke...
