I'm hoping their online image storage survives, it's been handy to upload trip and family pics for years, it's a local operation, always great service, quality prints.. Today you can even send the selections to local printers, pick 'em up in an hour or less... My pics have generated a lot of prints from the family, friends.. I send the link for HS band events to the coordinator, she posts them on the school website... Good to see the usage, beats a shoebox of unseen negatives, prints!

They had to get away from film, developing, maybe after this they can shed to losing portions and make it... Their ventures into cameras has been a joke, other than maybe the P&S or one-time jobbers...

Kodak files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy

Jan. 19, 2012, 12:32 a.m. EST

LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) -- Eastman Kodak Co. announced early Thursday that it and its U.S. subsidiaries filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The firm said the move "is intended to bolster liquidity in the U.S. and abroad, monetize non-strategic intellectual property, fairly resolve legacy liabilities, and enable the company to focus on its most valuable business lines." It said it would still pay employee wages and benefits and continue customer programs.
