Likely a lot of things to sort out, family decisions, care decisions... I hope that her husband will step in, run for the position, or possibly his appointment is what took time to accomplish, I don't know.. We'll have to watch and see... I imagine that video alone was a major event, one of many for her... Hard to imagine having the inner strength she's shown...
While I'm not surprised she stepped down, I wonder why she took this long to do so. Was she working on lining up a suitable replacement, perhaps?
In any event, her recovery thus far has been nothing short of miraculous. I hope she continues to improve, and can play as much a role in her community as she wants.
