President Barack Obama will announce a new mortgage crisis unit to be headed by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, his office confirmed to POLITICO. The unit to investigate mortgage misconduct and illegal activities will be announced in Tuesday's State of the Union address, which Schneiderman will attend as a guest of first lady Michelle Obama.
