Excellent idea. The crime rates in the Middle Eastern nations that torture thieves and other criminals are REALLY low.

People like you - who, obviously, have never experienced serious crime - are unfit to discuss this topic.

Or, are you like OCU - who has criminals in his family and therefore has sympathies that lie with them and not with the victims? (In fairness to OCU, he only said that his son had been jailed. I don't recall whether there was a CONVICTION, but I had that impression.)
