re: "Is that capitalism???"

It's more the behavior of crony monopolies. These large banks aren't able to outcompete smaller banks in anything except their ability to respond to outrageous government regulations.

Government is a monopoly. When it uses its powers to assist certain businesses to the detriment of other businesses, it's as far removed from CAPITALISM as it's possible to be. Why not just outlaw the small banks, then claim that capitalism did them in?

There seems to be a much larger movement afoot to get rid of the SMALLER banks. Maybe the Dallas Fed is just trying to muddy the waters about what they're really up to.

EXACTLY DE,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, get rid of the competition, so the very few master lenders, keep folks on their debt train, can continue, unchallenged....... Is that capitalism??? lol
