"Humping" usually has to do with railcars. At a freight yard, they will have a big hump, and they will push the train cars to the top of the hump, decouple them, and let them coast down the hill to be diverted onto whatever their next track is. There is no need to thank me for this valuable information: I'm doing it as a public service. |
