...there's a lot we don't know about this case, but from what I heard on the hannity show on the radio this afternoon, it don't look good for zimmerman.
...back when I worked for da phone company they had a safe driving policy that would net you a suspension without pay if you had a wreck that wasn't your fault "if" you could have prevented the wreck. Most phone guys were careful drivers because of it. Without going into whether or not zimmerman was right in the shooting, I can tell ya that it was preventable.
...I still want to know who was screaming right before the shot. Whoever it was sounded terrified. I could not even understand what they were saying.
...as best I recall, if you are in a situation with an individual armed with a knife it becomes self defense when they get within about seven yards of ya. A gun doens't work in real life like it does on tv. A knife wielder, especially a knife wielder on drugs can slice you up like the thanksgiving turkey if you don't knock the brain stem out. Even a shot directly into the heart can leave em alive and kicking or stabbing and slicing for six or seven seconds or so.
...one thing ya aren't gonna get from the Al Sharpton crowd is the truth. His mere presence suggest to me that there is something going on here besides justice or a search for the truth. Remember Tawana Brawley?
...another old police department adage is that it is easy for half a dozen judges in air conditioned well lit offices, with computers galore and a staff of dozens running their errands to take six months to decide that you made the wrong decision in a half a second in a dark alley.
...dunno what the truth is here, and it is not likely that we will ever know the truth because the administration has a vested interest in making this look like a lynching and relating it to law abiding citizens exercising their second amendment rights.
I could write a book on this, but my accountant says for me not to as it would put me in a higher tax bracket.
