I'm a firm believer that trade school is the way to go. Too much crap is forced upon the minds , of things that most will never use........

Realist - Everybody in America is soft, and hates conflict. The cure for this, both in politics and social life, is the same -- hardihood. Give them raw truth.

clo,

re: "Guess we should hope she doesn't go to college, liberal professors might ruin her..."

My son consistently pulls decent grades despite being two years ahead of my pace at that age. As a 12 year old, he's nearly done with Algebra. He's at the top of his Spanish class, and speaks German too. You've seen him perform. Talented kid, no?

I'm torn as to whether he should go to college. Actually, I'm tilting pretty heavily against it. If Obamacare is shut down by the courts I might change my mind - but, for now, I think a trade school is probably best.

So your point about this "girl of color" (why do you have to bring THAT up? Is everything always race and gender with you?) possibly not going to college is lost on me.

Going to college may no longer be the best way for the cream of the crop among America's children to prepare for their futures. And buying a farm, with chickens and horses, is an awesome ambition for a young girl. Well, for ANYONE.

So, what's your point?
