Not to mention, if I got Zimmerman's story right, that Martin took Zimmerman out with a single unexpected haymaker... probably the one that broke his nose.
The sole eyewitness apparently saw Zimmerman pinned, howling for help, and getting his head smashed on the ground by Martin. I haven't heard what happened next, but my guess is that Martin was dislodged and Zimmerman shot him. Was Martin getting set for Round 2? Or was he letting Zimmerman go? In either case, I can see why Zimmerman might have killed the kid. (Even if Martin considered the fight over and got up for that reason, Zimmerman might not have thought so.) In either case, it would have been self defense.
The police showed up. They listened to the story. They looked at the condition Zimmerman was in. THEY INTERVIEWED A WITNESS. And they left without making an arrest.
Ribit might think it looks bad for Zimmerman. I don't think it does at all - except, of course, that Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, clo and a bunch of other liberal thugs are instigating a riot that will probably wind up with Zimmerman either getting killed or convicted in a kangaroo court that some liberal politician sets up.
