I just caught a good view of the space shuttle Discovery being flown past my window. It's somewhere over DC right now, and should land at Dulles Airport later this morning. Since I can see the AP pretty easily from my office window, I should get at least one more view of it.
The Discovery will be spending the rest of its days at the Air & Space museum at the Dulles Airport. Many visitors fail to realize that there are TWO Air & Space museums, one at the D.C. mall, alongside the Smithsonian, and the other at the Dulles Airport in Virginia.
The Dulles museum is where the largest exhibits are housed.
Discovery replaces Enterprise at the museum. Enterprise flew in tests but never went into space.
