re: "you don't really believe that the Sanford police weighed the corpse do you? They also listed Trayvon's height at 600."
I think it's far more likely that the police weighed him... or are at least good judges of body mass... than that anyone in the Press or working for Jesse Jackson is. Yet the 140 lb story spread and is the commonly held view - by those who don't see him as a 6th grader, I mean.
If "they" understated Trayvon Martin's weight, and height, and apparent age, and gentleness, and history, it seems likely that "they" also overstated everything about George Zimmerman. I don't KNOW, mind you. That just strikes me as likely. We aren't dealing with particularly honest people here.
I hope they air the trial. Oh, not because the case is an interesting one. It isn't. 15,000 such cases have occurred during Obummer's Presidency. And not because I think anyone on the left is capable of changing their opinions. They made up their minds long ago, before they even knew what had happened. But if they air the trial, and Zimmerman winds up being convicted despite having what sounds like a very, VERY strong case, it should open a lot of peoples' eyes to the vicious manipulation happening in the United States today.
Since that manipulation *IS* happening, I hope some of the good people who believe sham justice is for other countries, not ours, will see that it happens here too. They might even open their eyes to the danger represented by Obummer's new Presidential Power to "detain" Americans permanently... without cause... just because he says so.
Such eye-opening can only occur if it's obvious that Zimmerman was railroaded... by someone... with extraordinary political power. If he gets a fair trial, then the outcome is really inconsequential to most of us. If some new evidence arises suggesting that Zimmerman DID murder Trayvon Martin, a lot of people are going to escape with the twisted notion that the left was right all along. That would actually be harmful to the idea of American justice.
I sure hope people don't come away with that idea. If the Left turns out to be right (and, yes, I will grudgingly admit it if it's true), it will only be because of luck. Fortunately, it doesn't sound like that's very likely. The evidence is all in Zimmerman's favor. Manipulated public opinion is all against him. Where those forces two meet, there should be quite a battle.
