snapits

Just runnin a bit late. I been working on a bed for my grand daughter to sleep in when she comes to spend the night. I just wanted to buy one and be done with it, but it's gonna be in my office and my space is limited. A regular size twin bed with a headboard and footboard would be too big.

Anyway, I found a memory foam mattress which is small enough and went to Lowes and bought some wood to make the bed out of. "How hard could it be?" I said to myself. Had to buy hardware (nuts and bolts) and all that and as long as I had my "card" out I saw some tools that I might need some day if I decide to build an aircraft carrier in my basement, so I bought them too. Loaded the wood by myself and when I got home I unloaded it by myself. It took five trips. At some point it occurred to me that once this thing was put together I couldn't move it in multiple trips and that it mighta been a good idea to take the weight of the wood into consideration before buying stuff. The twin bed Im building woulda been heavier than a California King size four poster. The wood had been Cut to specific sizes for me, so it can't be returned, but I can use it on something else. A jump ramp for a motorcycle perhaps. Im thinking that adding a long motorcycle jump to communion might attract a lot of interest as you being the new pope when that "other guy" croaks.

I know this is a lot more explaination than ya asked for, but I didn't want you to get any wrong ideas about me just cause "Ferris Buelers Day Off" is on TV.
