shuffles,

Just out of curiosity, what internet service are you using, and what speed package are you on? If it is neighborhood traffic, you can expect poor results during peak usage hours, later afternoons during the work week, and weekends mostly.

The program that pcj recommended is a good one I would recommend it also just to be safe. Sometimes these things are caused from within, and a good regular routine of pc maintenance and cleaning is a much better approach to trying to correct something after it gets bad.

Vgolf,

Windows XP 3 Pro
Pentium 2.80 GHz
2 gig ram
Verizon Fios

No problem so far today. This weekend was worse than ever. When there is a problem, some sites are worse than others. For example, yesterday this site was the worst. Well, typing this there was one place where I had to wait a little for the letters to appear on screen after typing them. No comparison with yesterday, though.

Maybe a neighborhood overload?
