Vgolf, as I indicated before, Verizon Fios. I don't know what speed I signed up for, but when I test it I get anywhere from 7,000 Kbps to 15,000. Sunday evening, when it seemed so slow it tested 12,000 to 15,000. Things seem to be back to normal now.

When I clean the cache, will I loose stored web site passwords?

shuffles,

Just out of curiosity, what internet service are you using, and what speed package are you on? If it is neighborhood traffic, you can expect poor results during peak usage hours, later afternoons during the work week, and weekends mostly.

The program that pcj recommended is a good one I would recommend it also just to be safe. Sometimes these things are caused from within, and a good regular routine of pc maintenance and cleaning is a much better approach to trying to correct something after it gets bad.
