Wizard Beldin,

I are an Injun ear and I think right now they are a waste as well, especially when you have cars with regular gasoline engines that get over 40 MPG, like the Hyundai Elantra for example.

What the Prius is realy good at is running on battery power under 35 MPH in the city which conserves the gas due to start and stop situations. A great idea.

Theproblem is that it takes 8 uyears to get the difference in price from any gas savings plus on the highway, they don't get very good mileage at all so for cross country driving, you are better off with a mid-sized car that gets over 35 MPG or a compact that gets over 40 mpg.

If ya can figger out how to spell injunear please let me know so I can spell what one of my degrees is in.

thanky,

micro..
