Well said. You want a 'practical' electric car? Get a golf cart. OH wait! You cannot drive a golf cart on the street in many states. And I am still not convinced that batteries that are drained and recharged regularly will last all that long.

Hell, snapits ... I don't give a flyin' you-know-what about any automaker producing and selling electric cars. That's fine by me, BUT the government doesn't need to be spending even one thin dime of taxpayer money on these stupid things. They are not practical or cost effective, now, and they won't be practical or cost effective in the near future, if ever, either. If private enterprise wants to risk capital on this boondoggle, they're free to do so, but don't force us to cover their losses.
