Back then you could go to the movies for .50 cents, all day, popcorn was .25 cents. You could see a GP doctor for $10.00 & some made house-calls.

Babysitting was my first job, I think .50 cents an hour was the rate. Then I was training to be a beautician & worked at a saloon friday's after school & saturday's, mostly for tips. By sixteen, I saved over $300.00 dollars & I had been responsible for buying my clothes & shoes since I started working.

I have always been a good worker, practical & value financial security.
