re: "Did George W. Bush ever have a string that long?"
Nor did Herbert Hoover.
Are GWB and Herbert Hoover where you've set the bar for acceptability? That's what your argument says.
Citing other lousy Presidents in defense of Obummer's lousy record does not impress me, OCU. If you want to impress me with his performance, contrast Obummer's record with someone YOU at least respect. Bill Clinton comes to mind. Why should we settle for a far worse President than Bill Clinton, in your opinion? Or do you believe Obummer is BETTER than Bill Clinton was? *THAT* would make for an interesting discussion.
One of the reasons the liberals on this forum have been utterly unable to compete in anything approaching a debate is that they're unable to see the flaws on their own side. If you come into a debate thinking your own $#!+ doesn't stink, you're at a serious disadvantage.
I *NEVER* claim that the Republican track record is better than that of the Democrats. It's JUST as bad, but in slightly different ways. In fact, I see little difference between the two parties. They're both Progressive, driving us at full throttle toward bankrupt totalitarianism. Poverty for all. Slavery. Whee.
But, if there's to be any hope, we HAVE to keep dumping the garbage when we get the chance. We have to keep our fingers crossed that the next guy will be better. Not every politician is a corrupt incompetent. They aren't ALL in the pocket of TPTB . . . even though the recent string of losers we've called President has made it seem that way.
Gold is $1,581/oz today. When it hits $2,000, it will be up 26.5%. Let's see how long that takes. - De 3/11/2013 - ANSWER: 7 Years, 5 Months
