Gallup: Romney Has Taken The Lead

That was written on May 2nd, when Gallup said Romney and Obummer were tied. Today, May 6th, Romney has finally taken the lead. For good, I think.

Polls results tend to flap in the breeze, and there are any number of things that COULD improve the situation for Obummer, but except for the brief surge he'll get immediately following the Democratic convention (Sept 7th), there's not much on the horizon that's favorable for him. He's about through being on top of the Gallup leader board.

Unfortunately, what Democrats haven't figured out (or, at least, aren't acknowledging) is that Romney is a FAR more likeable guy than 2008 McCain. And Obummer is a FAR less likeable guy than 2008 Obama.

The less biased polls, such as Gallup, should show evidence of that from here on out.

To you - but you aren't getting your information from objective sources, or even countering the information you're getting with information from the other side.

Note that the latest Gallup poll shows shows the race to be neck-and-neck. That tells you how Romney "looks" to people whose views aren't skewed to the left of normal as severely as yours are.

Now consider the cirumstances. Romney has just weathered six months of brutal attacks from the other Republican candidates. Obama hasn't had to deal with anything like that.

Now, the attacks from the right have ended... and Romney has emerged unscathed and vetted. At the same time, Obummer's free ride ends.

During this period which has definitely been rough on Romney, Obummer hasn't been able to build a lead. To me, that means you can' stick a fork in him. It only gets worse for Obummer from here.
