"Romney is a FAR more likeable guy than 2008 McCain"

Really?
What evidence to you have to back that up?
At least McCain is a war hero & a christian.
McCain was in favor of The Dream Act, (helped him some with Hispanics & Latinos)

Just as the former Massachusetts governor is emerging from a bruising primary fight to become the presumptive Republican nominee, a new ABC News-Washington Post poll shows that 35 percent of Americans see Romney favorably compared to 47 percent who have an unfavorable opinion of him.

President Obama, on the other hand, gets a “favorable” rating from 56 percent of Americans and an “unfavorable” one from 40 percent.

The key point, according to ABC News pollster Gary Langer, is this: Romney is holding onto “the weakest favorability rating on record for a presumptive presidential nominee in ABC News/Washington Post polls since 1984. He’s the first likely nominee to be seen more unfavorably than favorably.” http://abcn.ws/J43omW ;

2008 Republican presidential primaries delegate count

As of June 10, 2008

Candidates; Actual pledged delegates; Estimated total delegates

John McCain 1,378 1,575

Mike Huckabee 240 278

Mitt Romney 148 271

Ron Paul 14 35

re: "It only gets worse for Obummer from here."

That was written on May 2nd, when Gallup said Romney and Obummer were tied. Today, May 6th, Romney has finally taken the lead. For good, I think.

Polls results tend to flap in the breeze, and there are any number of things that COULD improve the situation for Obummer, but except for the brief surge he'll get immediately following the Democratic convention (Sept 7th), there's not much on the horizon that's favorable for him. He's about through being on top of the Gallup leader board.

Unfortunately, what Democrats haven't figured out (or, at least, aren't acknowledging) is that Romney is a FAR more likeable guy than 2008 McCain. And Obummer is a FAR less likeable guy than 2008 Obama.

The less biased polls, such as Gallup, should show evidence of that from here on out.
