Romney Asked About His Foreign Tax Credits at Ohio Campaign Stop

By John McCormick and Richard Rubin - May 7, 2012 4:40 PM ET

Mitt Romney, who claimed a foreign tax credit on his 2010 federal returns, said he doesn’t think he pays any foreign income taxes when asked about the matter by a man at a campaign stop in Ohio.

“I’ll look at it,” the presumptive Republican presidential nominee said at a metals stamping plant near Cleveland. “I’m not familiar with that. I don’t think I paid any foreign income taxes, but I’ll be happy to take a look at it.”
