re: "Go back under your rock, loser..."

Hey, if you don't appreciate my attempts to help and educate, that's YOUR problem. Based on the recommendations/stars my posts have been getting of late, there are apparently some others here who do.

Now, that said, your statement is hurting my feelings, weco. I think rather highly of you - as I do of all of this forum's frequent contributers: clo, OCU, joe, ribit, ktc, atomicbob, rhiana and . . . have I forgotten anyone? Oh! wilful.

You guys help me keep my balance, letting me weigh liberal and conservative perspectives so that I can stay on track with reality. I know you guys are intelligent; I just think some here have a problem connecting the dots without letting their personal preferences dictate the result.

That's a shame. It's going to bite you pretty hard one day, I think. And since I actually like the bunch of you, I'm doing what I can to help.

I can lead you to water. But that's all. You're all adults here, and if there's some part of your personality that's rooting for ultimate failure, dependency and poverty, I won't be able to prevent it.
