joe,

re: "about Zimmerman "following' Martin, stalking is against the law in every state in the union"

It would take a legal expert to decide if Zimmerman "stalked" Martin. Certainly, you and I can't do so, (though my OPINION is that you're wrong yet again - and I've looked into the legal definition of the word, while I bet you haven't.)

But it's irrelevant.

The "stalking" paradigm ends the moment George Zimmerman lost Martin and stopped looking. The scenario I've heard (and let me know, guys, if any of you have heard a credible alternative) is that Trayvon Martin then reversed course, sought out and approached George Zimmerman.

Zimmerman replied with "OK" and stated that Martin got away. The call ended, and Zimmerman told investigators he was returning to his vehicle, when Martin approached him from his left rear and confronted him.

According to Zimmerman's father, Martin asked Zimmerman, "Do you have a f______g problem?" Zimmerman replied "No, I don't have a problem", and while Zimmerman reached for his cell phone Martin said, "Well, you do now" or something similar, then punched him in the face, knocking him down, and began beating his head against the sidewalk.

If this is what happened, stalking could only have played a minor role. The instigator of the attack was Trayvon Martin.

I suppose that it is illustrative of the complexity of this case that I did not know that Zimmerman's father was not a judge in Florida. The other comments that I made about him affecting the case by advising his son in the immediate aftermath of it do stand however.

AS far as your comments about Zimmerman "following' Martin, stalking is against the law in every state in the union and there are innumerable instances where judges across the nation have issued orders probibiting it. To say that George Zimmerman was doing anything other than that is stretching practically everybody's credulity! The bottom line on this business as far as I'm concerned is that George Zimmerman totally exceeded his authority if he ever had any, broke several laws, and all of it resulted in the death of an innocent minor person who was doing absolutely nothing wrong the night that it happened. The fact that George Zimmerman might have had his head damaged on the sidewalk simply indicates that both parties were probably on a public sidewalk. It is sad to think that a young person who paid for his skittles and iced tea as the convenience store video showed could end up dead at the hands of someone such as George Zimmerman on a public sidewalk 300 feet from his residence anywhere in America is a sad thing to behold.

Regards,

Joe
