Here's a shot I took at the point of maximum occlusion (06:38 PM PDT).
This was shot using my Sony A100 DSLR with a 400mm lens at f32 x 1/4000sec x ISO 100. This is the full frame which would be equivalent to a 600mm lens on a 35mm SLR:
As we fiddled around to watch the eclipse safely, I looked up to see this on my Western wall.. our Creek Alders were filtering, focusing the eclipse all over the wall.. At the bottom is my hands holding up the iPhone.. A few minutes later, it went back to normal, dappled light...
