I was shocked by my walk through Madison Saturday...and these were the tamer signs...Can you believe these people teach our children? Obscene vulgar signs, explosive rhetoric, crazy arguments like "all the money in this country flows to the top leaving us middle classers as pawns that will be pushed aside"...I think that better describes the taxpayers plight ...hahaha wow, what is this guy smoking? I don't think that is a cigarette in his hand....
This is a Tax Revolution that is going nationwide and this is only the tip of the iceberg, guys. We dont have pensions handed to us (if any of us get those anymore, I don't) and we the taxpayers are sick of paying 100% for public unions FREE golden parachute fringes. Their cryin' is all over the union paying a lousy few % instead of Zero! Asking for this minor contribution and limiting collective bargaining does not demean teachers at all. In fact the bill empowers them with the "Choice" and freedom not to stay in the union...it's now up to them...the way it should be. Collective bargaining is not a RIGHT, it was granted by the state and now has been taken away by the state because it was abused. It's not in the state constitution...I looked. Thats all. There were also protest leaders handing out illegal fake Dr. notes to any teachers so they can skip working weekdays!!!! Now add Fraud to the list. How bout a sign that says "Get your 100% pension off my back!" In these Obamanomic induced tough times, we all need to kick in a little...Let's get real, this is the end to a 40 year Public union assault on the taxpayer that ends Now! The election was the WILL of the people...not a few out of state thugs bused in from Chicago by Obama's minions. This is as good as passed....as soon as the sheriff catches the AWOL Dems that is...now being called the FLEABAGGERS...can't wait for the budget in March where the real cuts start...these guys may have a heart attack!
UPDATE: Bill signed into law here in WI now as other states around the country start to follow the lead....
Update: Recall election is just a few weeks away and is looking good for Walker. Now leads by a large margin in all polls. Has even been endorsed by the liberal local newspaper Journal Sentinal!!! If he wins he will have a mandate to bring on the real cuts that are yet to be unveiled...release the Kraken!!!
