How can Cory Booker, mayor of Newark, NJ, be anywhere near "honorable" when he folded in a heartbeat to axelrod? I detest men who "fold" to anyone. I know that I would have never retracted my statements.

I would have agreed with you, prior to this incident.

He spoke the truth, and THEN reneged on his original views.

He is a SURROGATE for the Obamanure campaign. You had better believe that they came down on him HARD. He folded. I don't think you should back down on the truth.

I voted for Christie, as I have said previously. I do not think he has enough FOREIGN experience, which is what Mitt's VP needs. He needs more time to develop what is required to run for national office.

That being said, I am voting AGAINST OBAMA. Period.

Kathy,

I don't know much about Cory Booker, but I have a feeling that he is probably a pretty good, straight-up guy. He and I probably disagree about a lot of stuff, but still, he seems (to me, anyway) to possibly be a very rare kind of Democrat - honorable. I believe his original comments were straight from his hip and the unvarnished truth of what he really believes, but the problem is ... the truth is sunlight that the vampiric Obama Administration cannot tolerate ... so, it sure looks like Barry Soetoro and his minions came down on Booker, in private, like a ton of bricks. It takes a really strong man to resist the intense pressure that was more than likely brought to bear on him over this issue. Hopefully, this episode will teach Booker to be his own man, in the future, rather than to reflexively knuckle under to pressure from his political party leaders to simply be a team player.

As for Christie ... there are a lot of qualities I really like about him ... and then again, there are many other things about him that I do not like at all. He's a mixed bag ... and, for that matter, we're all "mixed bags" to one extent or another ... but, as of right now, I think Christie is too flawed to be a candidate that I could support on the national level.

B.
