clo,

re: "Your typical responses ... throw cold water, instead of having a dialog that might be rewarding."

No, clo. It would not be rewarding.

None of FFFT's users, except possibly for ktc, have an interest in dialog here. I once did... but gave up when it became clear that the forum is really just a free-for-all of simple-mindedness and insults.

When FFFT is looked upon as something of an amateurish Dean Martin Roast, where the whole point is to stick the best barbs in the other fellow(s) before they get their turn at the podium, it can be fun. But don't kid yourself about a rewarding dialog - not when the longest dialogs on FFFT are the ones *I* facilitated - and I know better than to view them as rewarding. When ribit or I post something witty, I think it can be good for a laugh . . . . but let's stay real! No learning or camaraderie is possible when the whole point is just to insult.

re: "(on this board)"

I'm glad you noticed. I *do* adjust my behavior to conform with the behavioral standards on the different forums I frequent. This one happens to have none. (Because it's run by liberals, I wonder? I can see how it would be difficult to enforce standards of conduct on a forum when liberals have none in life.)

re: "I wonder if you have ever had a leadership role at work?"

Too bad. In a different time and place, that might be an interesting discussion. But, this is FFFT, where rewarding discourse does not take place. And, as with whether you're divorced, whether OCU is able, in good conscience, to take Holy Communion, and what grades zzstar completed before dropping out, unvolunteered personal matters are not in scope on most internet forums.

Decomp,

I wonder if you have ever had a leadership role at work?

Your typical responses (on this board) throw cold water, instead of having a dialog that might be rewarding.

That's a gift KTC has, he is usually open to discuss a topic. Even when the other poster has different views.
I admire him for that.

Keep in mind, this is a 'message board' open for opinions & discussions, NOT a courtroom.
