The Politics of Religion

In a dramatic stunt, some Catholic groups have filed
lawsuits claiming that President Obama has violated their
religious freedom by including contraceptives in health care
coverage.

I just don't see how this can fly.

These religious people can still exercise their religion by not buying the contraceptives. What they REALLY want to do is prevent OTHERS from being able to obtain contraceptives.

So, basically, they don't want anyone denying them THEIR freedoms - they just want to be able to deny the freedoms of others.

Do these people ever actually THINK?

"Rational arguments don't usually work on religious people. Otherwise, there would be no religious people."
