Seemingly neutral, right? Neither candidate is liked. But consider: Most of us know Obummer pretty well. Too well. We liked him in 2008, then came to dislike him as we saw what a fraud he was.
46% now view both Obummer AND Romney as evil.
But Romney started out being disliked by a lot of folks who didn't even know him. He's Mormon. He's like Bush. He's this. He's that. Mostly based on what opponents have said and not actual exposure.
Most still don't know Romney, but his familiarity is rapidly increasing. As more folks get to know him, he's got a great opporunity to swing some of those 46% over to his side.
Obummer doesn't have that option. Everyone knows him, including all of the disgusted 46 percent. Obummer can only hope that in the next 5 months, some of them forget what they know!
Five months is a lot of time. Romney's chances of convincing folks who don't know him that he's a good guy are a LOT better than Obummer's chances of doing the same with folks who DO know him. This weighs heavily in Romney's favor.
