Well, California is grateful for all the MA folks that have decided to come live in the Green and Golden State, adding to our workforce, or even to retire in a warmer clime... Don't run into many, I worked overseas with a couple, went to month long training sessions with others in those days... Fun to get 'em out, get 'em in trouble..

One poor guy had never been away form home.. A few drinks, a friendly local lady, poor guy fell in love/lust for the month or so.. Very tough to break up, have to go home... That was in Columbus OH, not all that far for him, but he survived... Went on into management at Bell and beyond..

Another was with us out in Kwajalein, he ended up leaving early in his tour, got a call from home at the Ham Shack, his wife told him that on a certain date there was a lot of lovin' going on there at home, if he wanted in on it, he better get his butt home! He caught the next flight heading East...

Good times and per the numbers they'll be back... Just not the same jobs, tho..

Hi Weco:

Additional population in Ma. is considered a negative. We export high tech skills, so attracting talent from the
outside is not a high priority, other than by our colleges. Besides, everyone knows that Bostonians have giant brains.
