I can see how you might think that. You probably read my posts about taking some college classes. In fact, this semester was almost a full load. (11 units, when 12 is considered full.) You probably can't imagine anyone doing that while continuing to work... but it's not that hard.
Unfortunately, I live in such an expensive part of the country that, without my income, it wouldn't make any sense to stay. I've got an empty house and a little land up North. I rent here, so if I couldn't find work, I'd leave ASAP.
I guess you wouldn't understand that. But my parents are in California, so I can't just move in with them the way you can.
Doing school while holding down a career is possible for anyone who's not lazy, zz. It's one of the many reasons that kids have no business burying themselves in debt just to get through school. I worked my way through college when I was young. I can do it now too. It's kind of fun, in fact.
