I use my AMEX card as we get 4% cash back at the end of the year for ALL gasoline purchases. In addition, we get 1% and 2% rebates on other purchases. Last year we got a check for nearly $900 and the year before, just over a $1000. We've also moved as many of our normal recurring monthly charges to this card as possible. In the four years that we've had this card (it was issued as part of our 'Business' membership at COSTCO) we've paid the balance each month and so the rebates have been just that much extra 'cash in the bank' as it were. This is on top of the annual COSTCO rebate (in the form of store credit) to business account holders based on in-store purchases, which have been averaging around $140/year or so.

Good morning KTC,

I have never charged 'gas'.
Besides, in most stations here, they offer a discount for cash, though now, many are now offering the same for either.
