50% Trust Republicans More on Economy

For the first time in five-and-a-half years of regular tracking, half of voters now trust Republicans more than Democrats when it comes to the economy, the issue they rate by far as most important to how they will vote.

Keep in mind that this doesn't mean the Democrats have the other 50%. Many respondents have no opinion, or rate the two equally bad.

Republicans actually have an ELEVEN PERCENT LEAD on this most important of all issues.
