We do not have to produce one drop of domestic crude oil in order to export a huge flow of refined fuels. Our refineries can simply import all of their crude oil needs from overseas, but that means our refineries are subject to the manipulations of foreign regimes and we are sending gobs of money to countries who want us dead.

You wouldn't think it, but Iran is very vulnerable to gasoline shortages. They have large crude oil reserves, but their refining capabilities are almost nil. Iran is dependent on other countries for refined fuels.

If we greatly increase domestic oil production, we will greatly increase the number of American jobs in a time when unemployment is a huge problem, the added lease fees and royalties will help fill the coffers of the federal and state governments, and we can satisfy our refineries with a flow of domestically produced crude oil instead of crude oil purchased from countries who are inclined to use this wealth to do us harm.

Do you get it now?

What are you saying?

We need more refined files or we need to drill for others for the sake of ..."jobs"?

WTF are you saying really? Cool
