True, killthecat, because classic Liberalism was founded on the ideas of inalienable human rights, liberty, equality of opportunity, Democracy, free speech and exercise of religion, fair elections, Constitutionalism, and Capitalism. Today's liberals are very much the opposite of classic Liberalism. As Decomposed says, today's liberals are "Progressives," which is a silly, meaningless term made up by Marxists to apply to themselves so they do not have to be known by what they are - Marxists.
