Many things, but here's the big one: A *LOT* more analysis is needed before conclusions are drawn. But they've already been drawn - which makes the theory far LESS believable, imo, than an unpoliticized theory with similar evidence. Because of the politicization, more analysis of global warming is needed before any significant action is taken than virtually any other theory in my lifetime.
Despite this, I actually think the Earth could be warming. It COULD be. But I'm not comfortable that the means of measuring that temperature can be trusted.
I doubt we understand what's going on, much less its cause or what to do about it.
I don't know why global warming is being taken seriously when other dire threats are not. The shortage of drinkable water is at least as credible and serious. The population explosion is far, FAR more believable. I bet ribit and the others on this board would agree.
So, why global warming... and not the other global concerns... unless it's because of the politics?
